Quique González

Born in Madrid in 1973, Quique González is a singer-songwriter with a style which, in my opinion, reminds us of the songs of the American singers of the seventies, like Bob Dylan, or Spanish bands and singers of the eighties like “Los Secretos” or Antonio Vega.

So far, he has composed and released eight albums. For me, the most interesting is “Ajuste de Cuentas”, an unplugged CD recorded live in 2006, which contains his greatest hits like “Salitre” or “Aunque tú no lo sepas” and where several artists, like Jorge Drexler or Miguel Ríos, collaborated.

His latest work, “Daiquiri Blues”, has been recorded in the USA and features the famous musician Al Perkins who has worked with Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones.

On 15th May, he will be performing in Salamanca. Recently, my wife gave me a ticket for my birthday to go to this gig. I’m looking forward to seeing him.
